ARE YOUR WINES VEGAN FRIENDLY?
As of the 2016 vintage, all of our wines are vegan and vegetarian friendly. The core ingredients are, of course, plant-based but at Winesmiths we ensure we do not use any animal-based fining products in the making of our wines.
ARE YOUR WINES PRESERVATIVE FREE?
Preservatives such as sulphites and alcohol naturally occur in wine as a result of the fermentation process. As well as natural preservatives, we add a minimal amount of sulphites to assist preservation, allowing the wine to age. We add only what we believe is necessary to ensure we deliver our wines in the best possible condition for consumption, whether they’re enjoyed now or in time.
CAN I RECYCLE THIS PRODUCT?
We are dedicated to the conservation and long-term sustainability of the environment. At Winesmiths we believe sustainability is a core requirement of responsible entrepreneurship, this which includes waste and pollution minimisation. The cardboard box can be recycled however, unfortunately, the cask foil bags cannot be recycled.
ARE YOUR WINES GLUTEN FREE?
Yes. Grapes are naturally gluten-free and we do not use any fining agents or additives from wheat-based products, so all of our wines are gluten-free.
